Oud Batavia

Holiday will come a few weeks later (yeayyy!!!!) and maybe you've already had a waiting-list to do. But for those of you who hadn't, I suggest you to have a short trip to Jakarta. Not for the mall or the busy street, but Oud (english = old) Batavia with the history inside that can make your trip worth enough. There, you will find many historical places, sites, and buildings with colonial architecture.
Oud Batavia and the buildings have a long history. In 17th century, Oud Batavia became the headquaters of VOC and the name was renamed 'Jakarta' during the Japanese occupation in 1942. Now, it become one of heritage sites and some buildings were converted into museums (open for public). It'll be a refreshment for you to go out from the modern era for a while and jump into a classic tale of Batavia.

Stasiun Kota
